    Great question! There are several reasons to choose Elite Care. Here are our top three:

    Convenience
    We get it—your team’s busy, and dealing with cables isn’t exactly your top priority. That’s why we created Elite Care. Just toss your gear in a box, send it our way, and we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll get it back to you when you need it, where you need it, and just how you need it. Our simple process makes cable maintenance easy, so you can focus on more important things.

Sure, we’d love to sell you new cables, but the truth is, most cables still have plenty of life left in them - they just need a little TLC.   • When I send my cables in, how long will it be before I get them back?

    Short answer: As quick as humanly possible! We know it causes major issues for your gear to be out of commission for long, and we will do everything we can reasonably do to get your cables back to you ASAP.

    Long answer: It really depends on three major factors:

    1) Shipping distance and methods.
    You are free to use whatever shipping method you like to get your cables to us, but we all know shipping can eat up way more time than you wish. Make sure to consider the transport time to and from our warehouse in central Arkansas.

    2) How many cables you send in at once
    You are welcome to send as many cables in at once as you wish but be aware that we will process each Elite Care shipment at one time. This means larger quantity batches will take longer to process.

    Once an Elite Care shipment reaches our building, the estimated times to process it are as follows:

    0-500 Cables: 2-3 Business Days
    500-1000 Cables: 3-5 Business Days
    1000-2500 Cables: 5-10 Business Days
    2500+ Cables: If you want to send this many cables in at once, let’s chat.
    We’ll do everything we can to meet your deadline.

    If it causes major issues for your cables to be out of your building for long, we encourage you to break up your Elite Care shipments throughout the year. (e.g., send us 500 cables once a quarter instead of 2,000 cables at once)

    3) The depth and amount of repair work needed
    Simple repair work like fixing solder joints and re-crimping connections will not impact the timeline. However, more involved repairs needing special parts or advanced labor may cause a delay. Don’t worry about this part though – If we encounter any speedbumps we will (promptly) be super upfront with you and let you decide how you want us to proceed.

  • What are Care Points?

    Care Points are the currency on which your Elite Care subscription runs. Each plan begins with a set number of Care Points, and they get consumed as you send in cables to be cared for.

  • What is Basic Care?

    Basic Care is a bundle of Treatments that includes Cleaning, Organizing, Testing, Repairing, and Labeling.

    Performing Basic Care on a single cable consumes a specific number of Care Points.

  • What are Treatments?

    Treatments are services available under Elite Care, divided into two categories:

    1. Basic Care
    Basic Care covers all of the following Treatments:

     • Cleaning
     • Organizing
     • Testing
     • Repairing
     • Labeling

    2. Additional Treatments
    These services go beyond Basic Care and typically require an additional payment.

    Examples include:
    • Upgrading connectors
    • Adding Tie-Line to cables
    • Adding Banker ID Rings

  • How many Care Points will I receive?

    With every plan purchased, you will receive exactly enough Care Points to perform Basic Care on every one of your plan’s max number of cables.

    For example, if you purchase a Silver Plan (which requires 3 Care Points per Basic Care) for a max number of 500 Cables, you will receive 1,500 Care Points.

  • How many Care Points are needed for Basic Care?

    Each Basic Care requires a certain number of care points, and that number changes per plan.

  • Can I use my Care Points toward replacement parts?

    Yes!

    If you send in cables that require parts to be replaced, we will reach out with a list of everything needed to finish the repair and you will have the choice of paying with additional cash or consuming some of your plan’s Care Points.

  • Can I use my Care Points toward upgrade Treatments?

    Yes!

    If you choose to have us perform and upgrade Treatments like adding Tie-Line or swapping connectors, you will have the option to pay additional cash or consume your plan’s Care Points for those Treatments.

  • Can I use my Care Points toward paying for return shipping?

    Yes!

    When we ship your cables back to you, we will use FedEx Ground or Freight (depending on the size of the order). We will send you an invoice for the actual shipping cost and will require shipping payment before it leaves our building. You will have the option to pay the balance with additional cash or consume Care Points.

  • Do I have to be a member to sign up for a plan?

    Nope!

  • Does this affect my Elite Core membership?

    Nope! However, you will be able to manage your subscription and see your usage through your Elite Core account.

  • Can I offer this as a service to my clients?

    Sure! If you have a subscription, you are welcome to use it as a value-add to your business. Your clients can send in cables and tell us to “charge it to your tab”, so to speak. Your client will need to include your Elite Care ID with their shipment.

    Please note that you will be financially responsible for all cables sent in by your clients (subscription overages, parts needed, service upgrades, etc), so be mindful of handing out that proverbial Elite Care Netflix password.

  • What is an Elite Care ID?

    It is a unique, 8 or 9 digit number that will be assigned to you upon subscribing. It’s your golden ticket to exceptional service.

  • What are the differences between Tier 1 and Tier 2 cables?

  • Can I purchase a Silver plan and pay for Treatments that are only available on Gold and up?

    Negative, ghost rider.

    If certain Treatments are only available in a Gold or higher plan, a Gold or higher plan will be required.

  • If I have a Silver Plan, can I still send in Tier 2 cables?

    Absolutely!

    We will clean, organize, and even label them!

    However, these cables will NOT be eligible for test and repair.

  • What happens if I send more cables in than my plan allows?

    We’ll let you know your overage and ask you how you’d like us to proceed.

    You will either be required to purchase an additional subscription or be charged for any cables serviced beyond your subscription coverage at an overage rate.

    Overage rates per plan: Silver: 2.0x
    Gold: 1.75x
    Platinum: 1.5x

  • If I want to upgrade to a higher plan in the middle of a year, will I be credited the amount I have already spent on my current plan?

    Absolutely!

    If you have spent $8,000 on a Silver plan, you can upgrade to a $10,000 Gold plan for $2,000.

    However, this will ONLY cover the remaining time in your original subscription. For example, if you have 6 months remaining in your subscription, your new plan purchased with a discount of your original subscription price will cover the remaining 6 months. If you want to purchase a full year of a higher plan it will be at full price.

  • If I subscribe at the introductory price, what will I be charged when my plan renews?

    We’re a fan of grandfathering people in, but we’re also a big fan of not being screwed over by inflation…

    So –

    If you buy in at a special rate, every consecutive year you purchase will be priced at the same discount of the current posted value. If we have to raise prices in a few years, your account will still have the same discount percentage.

    If at any time you cancel or fail to renew, any previous discount percentages are voided.

  • Will my plan renew automatically?

    Yes – but it won’t be a surprise! As your account comes up for renewal, we’ll be reaching out to make sure you want to renew for another year.

  • How do I cancel?

    Just tell us. You can cancel anytime. We’re not Comcast.

  • What happens if I have unused Care Points at the end of my subscription period?

    They will expire at the end of your current subscription period. Upon plan renewal, any unused Care Points will not rollover.

  • How does this affect my warranty on my Elite Core Products?

    It doesn’t! If you have an Elite Core product that needs warranty coverage, we will still honor it as normal.

  • Can I get a refund if I don’t use all of my plan’s Care Points?

    No.

    All sales on Elite Care subscriptions are final and cannot be exchanged, modified, or refunded.

    If you get toward the end of your plan and still haven’t used all of your Care Points, don’t forget you can use them to purchase additional Treatments like upgrading connectors!

  • What happens if I send in an Elite Core product that is still under warranty?

    If you send it with an Elite Care shipment, we will process it as every other cable in the shipment and it will count toward your subscription.

    Our Forever Warranty covers defects from parts and workmanship for life - however, it does not cover any other additional service provided by Elite Care, such as cleaning, organizing, or re-labeling.

    If you have a cable that falls under Elite Core warranty that you need repaired, we suggest you send it in separately to be processed as a warranty claim.

  • Who covers shipping costs?

    You are responsible for shipping, both ways.

  • What shipping carriers can I use?

    When you ship your cables to us, you can use any carrier and method you’d like, including trained hound.

    When we ship your cables back to you, we will use FedEx Ground or Freight (depending on the size of the order).

    We can use your FedEx account number for the return shipment, or we will send you an invoice for the shipping cost on our account. Payment will be required before it leaves our building.

  • Do I need to schedule a time to send my cables in?

    Yes. Scheduling will help make sure we fulfill your Elite Care request in a timely manner.

    Along with this request we will ask for some basic information to help us prepare for your shipment. This will include the basic quantity, type of cables, expected scope of Treatments, and labeling desires.

    Once your appointment has been confirmed, you’ll receive more details of what comes next.

  • Can you come to me?

    We’d love to! We offer on-site Elite Care visits, but they require some planning and additional conversation. If this is something you’re interested in, reach out to us! We’d love to chat.

  • Can I drop off my shipments?

    Sure! We are located in Central Arkansas, about 10 minutes north of I-40. You are welcome to drop off your cables to be cared for and we might even take you to lunch.

    Just make sure your Elite Care drop-off has been scheduled before you do so.

  • Do I have to send all of my cables in at once?

    Nope! In fact, we recommend that you don’t. We encourage you to break up your Elite Care shipments throughout the year. (e.g., send us 500 cables once a quarter instead of 2,000 cables at once)

  • Will I get a proof for the labeling artwork?

    Absolutely! If we are relabeling any cable, you will get a full-scale proof for each individual label to approve before we do any of it.

  • Are there any limits on labeling?

    1) Cable Size:
    Elite Care covers labeling of ANY cable with an outside diameter under 15mm. For quick reference, this is roughly the size of a 12/3 SJ power cable. All standard microphone cables, DMX cables, ethernet cables, instrument cables, USB cables, HDMI cables, and anything of similar diameter are eligible for re-labeling.

    Cables with a larger OD, like Feeder and Socapex, are not eligible for re-labeling services at this time.

    2) Color Options:
    At launch, Elite Care will offer 2” Black labels with white print, and 1” White labels with black print. Perfect for adding a logo/text label and a separate barcode label. 3) Design:
    Elite Care labeling includes logos, text, numbers, or any desired designs. The only limit here is it being a single color print.

  • How many labels can I add per cable?

    Technically, as many as you’d like – although we label a LOT of cables and do not recommend adding more than two labels per end. Mostly because we know you’ll end up hating it, but also because your AVL friends will laugh at you.

  • Can I send any type of cable in?

    Yes!

    All cables are welcome here and are eligible for our clean and organize service. However, certain services have different restrictions on cable types.

  • Can I send any brand of cable in?

    Sure. You are welcome to send in any of our competitor’s cable. We’ve got a strong stomach.

  • What are the differences between Tier 1 and Tier 2 cables?


  • If I have a Silver Plan, can I still send in Tier 2 cables?

    Absolutely! We will clean, organize, and even label them! However, these cables will NOT be eligible for test and repair.

  • Does Elite Care cover looms?

    No, looms are not eligible for Elite Care. If it ain’t a single cable, we ain’t able.

  • Does Elite Care cover my stage boxes / power drops / stage snakes / floor pockets?

    No. Elite Care only covers cables. Anything square, we don't care.

  • Can you make my cables longer?

    Unfortunately, no. Our cable stretcher is currently out of order. We will update this page when this issue has been resolved.

  • Can I pay my subscription fee on NET30 terms?

    No. All subscription fees must be paid upfront, regardless of account payment terms. We accept credit cards (without additional fees), wire, check, and ACH.

  • Can I pay for my subscription with store credit?

    No.

    Store credit can only be used for physical products and cannot be used for any Elite Care subscription or service.

  • Can I use my Care Points toward replacement parts?

    Yes!

    If you send in cables that requires parts to be replaced, we will reach out with a list of everything needed to finish the repair and you will have the choice of paying with additional cash or consuming of your plan's Care Points.

  • What happens if I send more cables in than my plan allows?

  • So, are you going to stick us with a surprise big repair bill?

    Absolutely not.

    Upon receiving your incoming Elite Care shipment, we will diagnose and repair any cables that can be repaired without consuming additional parts.

    If there are repairs that will require parts to be consumed, we will send you an itemized list of everything needed to finish the job– and you can tell us how you’d like us to proceed. We won’t begin any paid repair until you have authorized it.

    All parts will be invoiced at the standard price listed on our site.

    You will also have the option to pay for parts using Care Points.

  • Are all cables eligible for test and repair services?

    No.

    Only cable types outlined in our Tier 1 and Tier 2 cable lists are eligible for repair.


    This ensures that we can offer repair work in a timely manner on products we have expertise in.

  • Can I use my Care Points toward replacement parts?

    Yes!

    If you send in cables that requires parts to be replaced, we will reach out with a list of everything needed to finish the repair and you will have the choice of paying with additional cash or consuming of your plan's Care Points.

  • What happens if a cable cannot be repaired?

    We’ll send it back to whichever of our competitors made it.

    Kidding.

    We’ll let you decide! We can ship it back to you, throw it away, or make it into wall art or something. (tbh, those would probably kill on a super niche Etsy store.)

    We’ll also make you a killer deal on a new replacement cable, if you’re into that kind of thing.
