The Elite Core HD-SDIF is handcrafted at our headquarters in Greenbrier, Arkansas. The HD-SDIF cable is made to fill the need for a flexible coax cable while still maintaining the ruggedness needed in today's production industry. Contrary to the standard HD-SDI cables with a single solid conductor, the HD-SDIF utilizes the strength and flexibility of a stranded core.
The strand is made of 7 pure, oxygen-free copper wires which is what causes the HD-SDIF to provide better bending performance than the standard HD-SDI.
The flexibility of the HD-SDIF really sets itself apart from the standard HD-SDIF. Due to its bending performance, the HD-SDIF is great for use in small spaces where tight angles and corners need to be made.
The HD-SDIF cable is terminated with a high quality Belden1694ABHD1 BNC compression connector. This 1-piece connector offers faster, more consistent field installation with the same excellent signal quality and performance as traditional 3-piece connectors. 360 Degree compression rings deliver superior pull strength exceeding 100 pounds.
The technicians in the Elite Core Custom Shop have spent many years refining their techniques for consistent, stable, and reliable soldering. The finest solders and flux from Kester are exclusively used. Only the highest quality Weller soldering stations are employed. The finest 2:1 polyolefin shrink tube is used to protect the solder connections and finish out the cable. Once it’s finally assembled, each cable is hand-tested, then over/under coiled and finished off with a Bongo-Tie before being sealed into a plain clear poly bag for safe travel.
